Cooperation between VRG, Marina Läroverket and Täby Enskilda Gymnasiet

IMG_0065[1]On October 16, nearly 100 teachers from VRG, Marina Läroverket, and Täby Enskilda Gymnasiet gathered at VRG to learn from each other.

The evening started with a series of “Teach Meets“.  These are short workshops focused on a current topic in teaching and learning in a short session (approx 20 minutes).  The workshop also includes thought provoking questions.  Topics covered duringIMG_0069[1] this eveing were:

-Tests with access to all resources, how to promote critical thinking skills?

-Peer observations, how can we help each other learn?

IMG_0072[1]-Evidence based learning, how can we base our instructional decisions on evidence we have gathered?

-Recording your own feedback, how to keep the conversation going with 60 kids at one time?

-How to work with a 3d printer in the learning?

There was great discussion between the three faculties regarding how IMG_0067[1]we approach different challenges within our different schools.  Following the working sessions, all were invited to a dinner where the pedagogical conversations continued . . .

Thanks to the many VRG staffers who made this evening possible!

About kristylundstrom

I currently work as the Managing Director of Viktor Rydberg Schools. I am a student of learning. I am interested to see where it happens, when it happens, and how it happens. I am also a math and computer science teacher. I have lived in Belgium and in the USA. I really appreciate my multi-cultural environment - I believe it adds dynamics to our school.
