Six VRG students in their entrepreneurship course led a project that resulted in 115.000:- for the charity, STAR for LIFE.
With guidance from staff, these six students planned, promoted, organized, implemented, and followed up this huge event. Two concerts on Oct 19, attended by more than 500 people, were held at VRG. Student choirs from VRG and VRS, Star Choir from South Africa, and the members of Triple and Touch came together to provide a fantastic night of entertainment.
Ticket sales, corporate donations, and proceeds from the student work day “Dagsverket” amounted to more than 115.000:- in donations to this valuable charity.
When asked what did the project group learn:
-“there are so many details!”
-“we could have started earlier”
-“it was a real team effort, so many people helped us”
-“it was for real! It was great having a real goal with real rewards!”
Thanks to all who supported this great effort – students, staff, our Parents Association, and the STAR for LIFE foundation. It was a night to remember!
