VRG ANDA/ VRG Spirit

vrgandaslideshowThanks to our School Culture Group for organizing a fun “VRG Spirit” week.  With support from Friends committee, Elevkår, staff, and student body … it has been a really “mysig” week. vrgandan

The idea started when students in their mentor groups brainstormed words/feelings they wanted to have here at VRG – words that define our VRG ANDA.

The words generated this wordle:

Then based on the most common words, the school culture group focused on the acronym vrg anda wordsfor VRG ANDA – yielding our most important values.

From these words, they created activities for this week …

-kick-off assembly on Monday to launch #vrganda (instagram hastag)

-art competition to make a poster of these words

-fun food menu for each day

-grilling outside on Friday, music, friends and fun

-pajama day on Friday for – “fredagsmys

Of course the work with our common values will continue with daily activities that build community, in meaningful mentor meetings, and in fun-filled student assemblies and activities.  The common factor in all that we do from now on will be these 7 words – värme, respekt, gemenskap, acceptans, traditioner, engagemang/warmth, respect, togetherness, acceptance, traditions, engagement.
