VRG alum (2006), Olivia Trygg, returned to VRG on Thursday to share her experience, knowledge, and passion with students.
Olivia spoke about Trygga Barnen, a non-profit organization that works to help children, teenagers, parents, and other family members who have loved ones fighting addiction. As a former student who had sat in our lecture hall and studied in our classrooms, her message was powerful. For example, she reminded us that 1 in 5 children in Sweden have addiction in their families. She shared her own story of a beloved family member who struggled with addiction.
She also explained about the Foundation she works for – Trygga Barnen. This organization offers social activities, discussion groups, a safe meeting place, and much more for families.
Thanks, Olivia, for coming to VRG and sharing this important message.
