On Monday, our Year 2 students had the pleasure of listening to a lecture by Marika Tedroff (VRG Alum 2013).  Marika started up a project called ‘Stockholm Food Rescue‘ that aims to reduce food waste by helping restaurants and cafes donate leftover food.  You can read more about her project in this article>>.

She is also a former VRG student who graduated in 2013.  It was inspiring to hear her story of how a small idea can contribute to a better world. She had practical tips for our students:  take small steps, make calls/send emails, ask “Why not?”, seek sponsorship, stay positive …

Now our Year 2 projects will put her advice to good use during their social entrepreneurship project!
