Economy students visit SUP46 and the Royal Coin Cabinet to take their learning beyond the classroom …

Startup Hub SUP46 is a member based community and is home to Sweden’s
next startup stars. Thanks to the world-class ecosystem of investors, mentors and
partners, SUP46 provides its members with competitive advantage. It is also an
open meeting place for the whole startup scene.

Economy students in year 3 are getting ready to start their final research project.  During this project, students are required to combine all of the knowledge they have acquired during their three-year program and show that they are ready for the workplace and/or higher education within their field.

The Royal Coin Cabinet is the national museum of economy with a special interest in history of money, history of finance, economic and social history and the art of medals.

During our theme days in August, Economy students kicked off their work with visits to the Royal Coin Cabinet and SUP46 (Start-Up People of Sweden).  Students participated in workshops, attended lectures, viewed exhibitions, and talked with

professional entrepreneurs.

When reading the student reflections after these two days, it is easy to see that these visits were inspirational and thought-provoking:

Vi lärde oss under de två dagarna att vi inte ska vara rädda att misslyckas. Det är värt att ta en risk eftersom man, oavsett hur det går, lär sig något.

Vi fick en uppgift att skapa en affärsidé med hjälp av ett mjölkpaket och det här var vår produkt – En uppsamlare för långa trassliga sladdar som kan finnas bakom t.ex. TV-skärmar.

Detta var då utställningen på myntkabinettet som vi gick på i torsdags! Själva utställningen var rolig och intressant och vi fick lära oss mycket om andra kända entreprenörer. Vi gjorde även övningar i grupper och fick diskutera intressanta frågor.
